Many people want to know, “Can I rent the Shack?”.

The simple answer is “yes.” The real answer is “If someone else hasn’t done it already!”.

The Shack’s beautiful gym floor, piles of roller skates, large dining room, big sound system, and swimming pool are very popular reasons why people choose to host parties and get-togethers at the Shack.

For most events (unless you’re expecting LOTS of people at a pool party!), the cost for a 2 hour party is only $80. That includes skate rental for all participants (if applicable), someone to hand out skates and set up your music (bring your own CD’s if you want!), and private access to the dining room and gymnasium area.

If its summer time, the same fee applies unless you’ll have more than 50 people, at which point the cost goes up so that additional lifeguards may be called in to work. Just a warning, if you *don’t* pay extra and lots of people show up, it is the lifeguard’s discretion to make some people get out of the pool to ensure a safe environment for everyone! If you schedule a pool party and it should happen to rain, your party will still happen…it will just be converted to a skating party (for no additional charge.)

Do I have to use skates or swim?

Nope, you sure don’t. You could host a meeting, family reunion, or something similar for the same cost.

Is there a deposit?

Yes, a $30 deposit is required to hold your reservation. On the day of your party, the additional $50 is due. You can pay more up-front if you’d like.

How far ahead should I call?

Honestly, as far as you can. Generally, party slots are booked around 2 months in advance, so getting your reservation in as quickly as possible is the best idea! Some people book slots a whole year in advance!

What times are available?

During the school year, skating parties are available on Saturdays and Sundays. During summer, pool parties are available 7 days a week, but generally start later in the day because the Shack is open for public swimmers from Monday through Saturday.
